Born in France (1963) from a French West Indian mother and a French father, it is my grandparents’ talent, one continental painter, the other islander sculptor, whose I am trying to follow.
As I was a young kid, I spent my time drawing and at that time, drawing was a natural gift.
On 2006. I learned experimental engraving from Nuria Duran, a Catalan artist.
First exhibition in Barcelona on March 2007. Beside a Catalan photographer, I was showing series of engraved images telling short scenes of my private feelings.
In 2007, I experienced painting with brushes and acrylic with a Catalan artist: Lola Balbe. She took in charge my training by the academic way, reproducing still life, architecture, and human bodies. I spent two years with Lola and as a result of my improvement, with the encouragement of my teacher and of my good friend, the famous Catalan artist Assumpció Matteu, I decided to become a professional artist.
I chose to come back to the country where I belong, close to my origins and set up my studio in Dominican Republic, one of the Caribbean islands where I had lived before. I share a collective studio with two famous Dominican Artists Juan Mayí and José Almonte.
I participated in a collective exhibition called “Apartamento de verano” in H+O apartgallery in Santo Domingo, where I presented, with 4 Dominican well-known artists, small size works on paper, including watercolour, acrylic and parts of shells.
I will present an individual exhibition at Miro’s gallery in Cabarete, north Dominican Republic, on May 2010.
